The Co-Op missions were enjoyable there’s still a decent player base so it wasn’t difficult to find people to play with. There are some interesting side missions such as Paris stories and murder mysteries. Then there are redundant ones like environmental blending why does Arno need to UNLOCK the ability to SIT on a bench? Some of them are pretty useful like the ability to disguise. There’re unlockable upgrades and skills as well.
We get to change each clothing piece individually to create a unique look for Arno. The improved combat system is pretty decent and added some good difficulty to the gameplay.
Maybe there’s a learning curve to it, but I sure didn’t find it myself. The new parkour system was extremely frustrating and sometimes not even responsive. The mission design is so boring and lacklustre, I had to practically drag myself through the game to finish it. The side characters and the villains are just as bland. The story is mediocre and Arno Dorian is one of the least interesting AC protagonists I’ve seen. I spent much of my time simply exploring and enjoying the sights.īut other than that…everything else is just plain dull. The city is so lively thanks to the crowd system tech they’ve used to create large populations. They did an amazing job designing 18th century Paris with all the iconic buildings and historical locations. First and foremost, the best thing about the game is the open world.
